I guess that's the point/message that I'm trying to convey in my last assignment.

It's an edited video that I have created.

I've used 3 different softwares to make this video; Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and also iMovie.

In this video, I've incorporated some parts of the videos that my lecturer have provided me as well as videos from Youtube that is related to animal abuse.

Also, I have included my Facebook group logo and profile picture.

I was listening through some Michael Jackson's Songs;
and i thought these 2 songs are just touching enough for us to remember the significance of the earth especially the animals.
Just listen carefully to the lyrics and give it a thought or two for a minute.
The lyrics, no matter how the tune and rhythm goes, touched our hearts emotionally and literally.
May God bless him for what he had done :)

Don't you think abusing animals is just damn barbaric?

I couldn't agree more.

That's b'cause we have feelings like how animals do.

In this assignment, I'll have to create a logo that's related to my Facebook group.

In my logo, I decided to pen out a dolphin figure while making it a little abstract.

The purpose of me using a dolphin is that, dolphins are being killed in cold-climate countries and they have since becoming more less.

Hence, I annouced a message in the logo which is "Stop Animal Abuse!" regardless whether is it a dolphin, seal or any other animal.

The PeTA type will convince people that this actually will help spread out the motive of this logo.

I hope this logo will invite more people in not only supporting my Facebook group, but also send out the message to everyone.

¡Quinta Asignación! = Fifth Assignment!

My apologies for not updating this assignment up earlier.

So yeah, I took quite some time to complete my profile picture for my Facebook group which is 'Support Peta!'

I had a whole lot of ideas to mix around elements but I chose to make it as simple as possible.

With this, I took about 4 hours to actually create my face and background in relation to what my group is all about.

It wasn't as stunning as I expected it to be, but it was satisfactory to me.

In this assignment, I decided to use these 3 pictures to merge them altogether:

During the process, I initially took quite a long time to experiment with the tools in Photoshop.

I wanted to see which examples are the best samples and goes well with my Facebook group.

I used Move, Zoom, Lasso, Air Brush, Eraser, Air Brush and also the Clone Stamp.

Then I played around with the Hue/Saturation and the Colour Balances.

Not to forget, I mixed the foreground with the background using the Darken Blending Mode.

Adding warmth to the background was a nice mixture to the colour preservation of the foreground while adding film grains to the picture.

Last but not least, creating a type at the bottom right of the pic, adding a border/frame and sharpening the picture sums it up.

Nothing Is Forever (8Q Field Trip)

I wasn't as composed as I thought when I reached the museum.
We had a field trip to the 8Q- S'pore Art Museum to see and learn more about art is all about.
I didn't know what the arts in the museum exhibits are all about but I was sure excited to figure out what kind of paintings and sculptors are done by some local famous art designers/artists known globally and even by students from the S'pore School of the Arts.
From the arts and designs done by them, I learned that abstract art is not only about creativity, but also about the intelligence in crafting and experimenting them.
Judging from a rather obscene film I watched in the museum, I realised that the cast or actors can be of the same person playing different roles at the same period/part of the film.
The German language too was simply exquisite and fascinating with its English subtitles which really sums up the innovation between the collaboration of the media and arts.
Also, I learned that technology has been invading the world ever since with some cool inventions of the radio-infrared headphone which is wireless and the mini televisions without any cables.
S'pore too has become one of the most advanced countries in the world with ingenious works or arts; from the old hideous kampong atap houses to the skyscraper-flats, fruitless charcoal iron to the genius electrical iron.
Nothing is never the same way when art arrived.
It's more of the quality of what is beautiful and appealing, or of more than ordinary significance :)

AND A VERY HAPPY HANDSOME BIRTHDAY TO MY GOOD FRIEND, YONGHONG!

Lets go clubbing together someday yeah bro, haha.

I was trying out and exploring the tools and application of Photoshop CS3.

(due to some confusion in using illustrator. haha)

I did some blending modes and some air brush tools besides eraser.

Also, I used some scaling of the pictures to make it to a suitable size.

Yeah, managing a few pictures into a photo wasn't so bad.

Go figure how many pictures i blended in :D

It's more of a collage of my face and the tricks of my favourite skateboarder, Sean Malto.

The Outcome: A 'not-up-to-the-standard' picture. heh :)

Oh yeah, before i forget, in this third assignment we were supposed to do a blog.
The purpose of this blog is to list down our experiences and reflections of our assignments which also known as journal.
So yeah, this is my blog.
I decided to use Blogger as I thought it has the simplest features and navigation around among all the other web blogs.
As it was my first time using a blog, I wasn't familiar with the settings and layouts which explains the simple and plain black background as well as the common layout others used.

Google Maps are simply ready-made maps. That is my definition of this intelligently-created feature of Google. I can bet that you can't find map websites that are as amazing as this Google Maps. Finding ways to any specific region, place, famous companies/restaurants, etc. or even the traffic, terrain and satellites of the area has never been this simple. One can also create his own map of his desired specific region and post a link to the map to show people exactly where the place is and also how to get there. Nonetheless, there are so many purposes for showing maps besides the reasons I've stated above. For this, I have created a map for my group in Facebook which is 'Support PETA!' The map shows the different various quarters/headquarters of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) in different continents. This somehow simplifies people tasks in order to let them know where PETA is located if they're planning to go to that destination. This is rather interesting. I apparently knew this application called Twitter a long time ago.

I was browsing through some bands in Myspace when I saw that many of them were using Twitter. Out of curiosity, i scanned through Twitter and i thought it was Facebook's Twin. The thought of not having another application with the same features as Facebook stop me of not exploring Twitter.

But after having a Twitter account in the class, I knew Twitter better than how some noobs used it. Now, i recognised almost all the uses and their definitions in Twitter such as tweets, replies, retweets (thin and thick tweets) and AEIOU (Already Existing Information Optimally Uploaded).

Apart from that, I was introduced to other applications that are useful to Twitter such as tinyurl, tweetdeck and twhirl.

In my Twitter account, i was able to communicate with my other friends via annoucement at Facebook using the code '#fb' and the status will appear on both Facebook & Twitter.

Unsurprisingly, i can follow my friends or international /local bands that i adore when they update their status.

Besides, i can also add a thick tweet by adding an aeiou tweet which is a link of an information to a website.

Also, i learned that i can update my status on Twitter using my mobile phone by signing up at http://tweet.sg

and how many times have you felt sad and frustrated staring at them?

I know you guys have that fury feeling of attacking these 'awesome' hunters.

They just don't own a heart.

For god's sake, i hope this misery of these beautiful creatures created by god Himself will end.

Lets pray together these killers will die being eaten up or killed by animals, please please please :)

Have you ever heard of an organisation called PETA? I'm sure you guys have heard of it before. It's about my group i created in facebook, i know :D
Okae, for the benefits of those nooby people (just kidding) or rather those who doesn't know;

PETA is actually People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals for short. It's an organisation where killing or torturing of animals are prohibited to them. They assist people or other small animal-rights organisation around the world by promoting awareness of animal abuse/cruelty and carrying out activities which reduces animal-killings. They discussed about why animal-rights have many priorities by not killing them and why becoming a vegan/vegetarian is good. Initially, I thought of not creating this group as I felt that it was too general. But after much thoughts, awareness just glided through my mind. Why not just give it a try? The First Week of Sluggish-ness!

pretty interesting and slacky. that's all that describes this week's assignments that were briefed by Yoke.

as for the lessons, everything went great even though a little draggy but at the same time, we had fun to be frank!
it was my thrilling first time using twitter, google maps and not to mention this blogger although some of those are actually fads (no offence). lols!
overall, i enjoyed exploring unfamiliar stuffs and applications which gives me more exposure in the cyber world ^^
